MIKADO
Analog Text Display - Tangible
A novel exploration in analog communication, designed and developed during "Beyond the Screen" workshop with Angelo Benedetto.
The project in collaboration with Vikto Gagné, which we've aptly named Mikado, is a tactile interface that employs a simple yet creative means to display messages. The user interacts with an array of pencils, turning them according to instructions given by small, dedicated cards. As the pencils rotate, they gradually reveal a previously concealed message. This immersive, hands-on experience challenges the traditional screen-dominated paradigm. Mikado offers a unique blend of physical interaction and the timeless charm of analog systems, rethinking how we communicate and engage with information in the process.
